Kemp v Algarve nabízí rodinné ubytování nejen pro wakeboardisty, ale i mezinárodní surfaře, kitaře, windsurfaře, kteří oceňují náš kemp v jižním regionu Portugalska. Je proto důvod! Kemp se nachází jen pár minut chůze od pláže Meia Praia a známého přístavního města Lagos. Večer můžeš zažít portugalský noční život nebo si vychutnat studené pivo nebo lahodný koktejl v našem oblíbeném baru “Baraka”.
Po vzrušujícím a pravděpodobně vyčerpávajícím dni ve vodě můžeš relaxovat s ostatními nadšenci vodních sportů z celého světa u bazénu nebo zlepšit svou koordinaci a rovnováhu na trampolíně, slackline pro rovnováhu. Náš kemp nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi, TV, zábavné hry a kulečníkový stůl.

I surfed for the first time in my life with the guys from Algarve Watersport and the experience was amazing. I didn't stay at the camp, but I met the group there, to pick up the equipment. The instructors look just like the surfers in the movies, with the hair in the wind and cool atitude. I took lessons for 4 days in a row and even though this sport is not that easy, I felt that I did a very good progress. The team is well organized and the tips and tricks were always helpful. If we could'n't find the "right" waves, my instructor stayed in the shallow water, pushing us one by one with the waves. They choose the beach based on the weather conditions, to improve our experience, making sure that we have good waves for surfing. We also got the chance to surf at the sunset and the view is gorgeous on the west coast. They even stayed longer with us because they realized that we have a good time. Overall, the experience was great and I will definetely come back to their camp when I'll get the chance.

I highly recommend this surf school. We booked for 3 days and it was perfect. The instructors are really nice and pay attention to every detail of every person. On day 3 we already got to surf the green water waves.

The AWS surf camp was absolutely amazing! The fun was endless and the variety of surf lessons suited all skill levels from beginners to advanced. The camp had a fantastic atmosphere, with friendly instructors who made learning to surf exciting and enjoyable (special thanks to Angel - he gave lots of great tips and was really helpful). The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, creating a great environment for meeting new friends. The food was also delicious and healthy.

Really enjoyed the lesson! The coach adapted to my level and gave thourough explanation. I was able to catch green waves and he gave me good advice on turning too. Recommend to anyone who thought about starting surfing 😉.

Booked surfing lessons at AWS, and it was awesome! We had great waves, the beaches we visited were breathtaking, the lessons itself were perfect. Had three great kite-sessions with AJ, who pushed us to improve as fast as possible. Even the faceplants were a lot of fun 🙈🤙…
Surfing and weakboarding were perfect alternatives for the low wind days, while the city anyways has enough to offer that you sometimes just need a day to rest at the pool 😅.
High recommendation also for Liam’s Sangrias at the bar… 1L of happiness 🙃!
Looking forward to coming back next year, thanks to the whole team for the great week!

Just spent the best week in the camp. Team was lovely, super professional and fun. Thank you to the Kite and the Surf teams, who where pretty awesome. Special mention to Manouk and her team (Adrian !!) for sending me to the next level in my kite progression!! The camp, the rooms, the pool are amazing. Food is probably the best I have ever had on holidays and home made. Thanks a lot AWS will definitely come back ❤️

I love to do watersports. Trying out different ones and learning is nit only full service (equipment and transport) I really want to highlight the instructors here. Last time I did a week of kiting and wakeboarding. This time I enjoyed the humbling process of surfing as well as learning more in the wake park.
Between one and 2 activities a day, I needed to refuel. That is when the culinary experience started. The food is 12/10.
Breakfast: colorful and fueling, heaps of fruits
Dinner: a wholesome buffet that is well thought through. Every day a different topic, my favorite was definitely Mexican taco night! They even picketed the onions themselves.
Last night we had vegan lemon sponge cake with lemons of the camp garden. You see where I am going there.
Sleep: since we are a 20 min walk outside of Lagos town (or 4€Uber) the camp side is nice and quiet. We stayed in a dorm with solid beds, and curtains and enough storage space.
Happy to come back a third time!

My wife and i went here on a recommendation from a friend and fell in love with the school. It became my favorite vacation I have ever taken due to the experience. The food and rooms are both amazing and we would come back for them alone, but they also offer just lessons for those who don’t want to stay. The staff really were always smiling and helpful - even to some of our spontaneous requests. And the instructors were all experts and amazing at progressing you very quickly - but also were conscious and helpful to those who learn a little slower or who lacked motivation. We made very good friends here that hopefully will last a life time!
We decided to try kite surfing and were both able to ride pretty well just by the fourth course. We are definitely going back - the overall experience was the best vacation i have ever taken - they took care of everything - all you had to do was show up, learn, and of course have fun!

This camp is just awesome!
It has been my second stay at AWS and once again the food and drinks were great, all the instructors super helpful and friendly (Kite, Surf, Wakeboard, Wakefoil, Windsurf), the office is very flexible and well-organized and the rooms are always clean and in good condition.

I am here for a 3 days surf course and already after day one I am progressing beyond my own expectation, due to the very good instructor and well prepared lessons! Looking forward for the next days! Definitely will book the camp next time, food and location looks amazing and everybody is friendly.

Once again we had the best time at Algarve Water Sports this year. I can recommend the camp to anyone who is a fan of any kind of water sport and either wants to try it out, improve their skills or is travelling with friends who are interested in different sports (surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, wakeboarding or even yoga). I am super grateful for the best surf instructors I’ve ever had and the whole team for the great support. Of course, I shouldn’t forget to mention the delicious food.

We booked our camp and surf lessons on a whim, breaking away from the typical Saturday-to-Saturday schedule, and wow, was the booking process a breeze! Chatting via WhatsApp was incredibly fast and super flexible—definitely a five-star experience!
I visited with my two teenage kids, and we were greeted with the warmest welcome, immediately feeling part of the group. The team was amazingly open and wonderfully international, making us feel right at home. The camp itself was stunning; our room was lovely with a gorgeous bathroom, and everything was organized to perfection. So, it's five stars for the rooms, camp, and reception!
My kids have tried different surf schools in Portugal and France, but none compared to the progress they made here. Instructors Noemi, Alex, and Emil were not only highly motivated but also incredibly inspiring. Their enthusiasm for teaching and joy at our rapid progress over just three days were palpable. The surf lessons alone deserve six out of five stars! 😊
If you're looking for a sporty getaway as a family with teens or as a single parent, this is your spot. Your kids will quickly mesh with other guests and the team, with loads of activities to keep everyone engaged. Having our own car added a touch of flexibility, but the camp shuttles to various surf spots along the coast were just perfect for most guests.
Now, I'm dealing with a constant, "Can we come back here next holiday? And the ones after that?" It was truly one of our most unexpected and memorable trips.

I really loved this surf camp! The camp is such a welcoming environment for solo travelers. It is so easy to meet people and all of the staff are so so friendly. Also the food was amazing! I am going to miss have a sweet treat with breakfast and fabulous dinners. I originally came to the camp to do kitesurfing, but there not being a ton of wind, the camp was super flexible in letting me switch the surfing, and I had a blast! The instructors were so fun and helpful and I learned so much!

I did a kitesurf camp with Algarve Watersport and had a wonderful experience.
Staff is kind, welcoming, professional and helps you along with scheduling lessons to make the most out of your stay. I went the beginning on the April, where the wind for kitesurfing was still a bit unpredictable. The camp called ahead to made sure I could arrive on time on a windy day and join the class. Luckily for me the wind got better during the week and I was able to get some good kite sessions going.
The food at the camp is also very good. With a great variety of food at breakfast and a changing menu for dinner. All made from fresh ingredients. Haven’t eaten this healthy and good for a long time!
Lastly the instructors! During the week I had lessons from Leo and Jacob and was very happy with their instructions.
But a big shout out to Jacob! His instructions are easy to follow, he gives you the confidence to keep going, is very patient and most importantly, always smiling! Stoked to put those lessons to good use and to keep on kitesurfing!

We spent an amazing week here. The food was plenty and delicious. The accommodation was also good. The surf teachers did a very good job.
I can mention only one negative thing. It’s about the schedule. We sometimes got the information in the last minute or not at all so it was hard to plan with our free time.
Overall I’m very satisfied with them and look forward to come back next year.

Great surf camp! The food is incredible and the surf lessons are perfect to learn anything from how to read waves, surf rules and the actual sport of course. Loved the lesson with Ansan! I would definitely come back.

We were at the Algarve Watersports Camp for a surf course in September.
The Camp is really nice, with a beautiful community space to chill by the Pool, eat together with the other camp visitors or get extra theory lessons from the Coaches.
The food was extraordinary with much love for Detail.
The Surf instructors (we met Alex, Andras, Emil, Ansan, Noemi, Orlando) were really professional, always helpful and gave many good hints to every single student. It was an amazing experience and very impressive how fast you can make progress If you have good teachers.
Also the theorey lesson and the video analysis were very helpful. The only sad thing about that was, that those were done after our last day of surfing, so we didn't have the chance to use the gained insights.
We also did a sunrise SUP tour with Izak, where we had stunning views and a really good time! Absolutely worth every cent.
The only thing which could be improved was the Appartement. It was nice and clean but quite old fashioned and the kitchen didn't have much equipment.
Still 5 stars for this amazing experience. We will definitely come back next year.

I had a great time at the camp, good vibes, friendly people. The camp is very well organized, the bar, breakfast and dinner is outstanding. Rooms are modern and clean.
Kite instructor Gerardo is an excellent instructor, very experienced, patient and has empathy towards students.

I did the kite lesson for 5 days. It was amazing. The whole crew works very professional and structured. My kite instructor Izak did a great job. I've learned a lot and made great progress. The fun at it's self was never missing. Besides, I can truly recommend the accommodation. The Rooms, the Food, the Vibes and the sympathetic people around here made our stay unforgettable. Also a big shout out to Fritz. You mix the best drinks. Thanks! See you next time!

This was genuinely an incredible trip. First off, the camp serves fantastic food - a different theme every night. The staff are so happy and helpful and go the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay.
I did both kitesurfing and surfing. The instructors were professional, fun, kind and really challenged you to progress. Jacob, the lead kite instructor is a super cool guy, very calm and keeps everything in top order. He taught me at the start of the week and improved my upwind riding dramatically.
Later in the week, I was introduced to jumping with Lukasz, a super cool guy with some very helpful tips.
Also a special thanks to the team in the office working in the background to make this camp the wonderful place it truly is.
Also FRITZ! THE BEST COCKTAIL MAKER IN THE ALGARVE. Always smiling too 😉

Stayed here for a week of kite boarding lessons and had a fabulous time! My instructor Andy was amazing! Knowledgeable, patient, supportive and made learning a challenging activity a lot if fun!
The facilities at the camp are straightforward and comfortable. I stayed un a semi private room.
Breakfast and dinner are included. The meals are freshly prepared , ample, hearty and delicious! Always options for vegetarians and vegans as well.

I had the most amazing time at the camp! The house is so beautiful and warm, you feel like it is your second home. Everyone in the staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind, making sure you enjoy every second of your stay.

Katie the manager super sweet and amazing person. The surf teachers we had so far, Angel, Alex, Anselm…you just want to hug them! Super professional and a lot of fun! I learned a lot already.
So all in all the perfect holiday place for kids and parents!!

Incredible place! Stayed during winter when they have the digital nomad set up. We stayed at one of the bungalows with the kitchenette. The place is very clean, has everything you need, it’s very homey and it’s in a great location. The staff is very helpful and always reply to any questions/requests very quickly. The people staying at the camp are awesome and very like minded so we had an amazing time. The facilities for work are great with fast wifi and many places to have work meetings. I would love to come back to this magical place. If you’re booking, make sure to stay as many nights as you possibly can as you wouldn’t want to leave!

I didn't stay at the camp but took a single KiteSurfing lesson booked last minute that they managed to fit me in for a lesson with 2 other beginers (seriously) last minute! 🙌
The whole experence was great! Friendly staff, instructors, and students that made the day a rememberable one! I wounldn't hesitate to come back to stay at the camp for a week to continue learning!

All aspects of the stay were great…from the beautiful food buffet to the wide offer of really fun activities & flexibility of the camp organizers, the friendly staff members & stunning location … it was a very good experience I’d highly recommend.

If you're lucky, you will get Orlando as instructor for both surfing and or kiting.
He is an incredibly talented, calm, patient instructor who also speaks excellent english. Couldn't recommend him more 👌🏻

This surf (and kite, windsurfing, wingfoiling) camp is simply amazing. The staff goes to great lengths to ensure you have the best possible stay. The instructors are absolute pros and know when and where to go. I am amazed how much I learned in one week thanks to them.
Most importantly, I am in awe by the generosity and kindness I experienced here. Rarely one meets such caring people. Having returned home, I can only feel love. I can’t wait to come back.
The camp itself is spacious and invites you to relax and meet fellow explorers. Rooms are cleaned daily and beds are very comfortable. The chef there nails the breakfasts and dinners every day. There really isn’t anything more you could ask from a camp.
Just go there. You will not regret it.

The camp/villa is clean, well equipped and organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Windsurfing instructors, Adam & Adam, are professional, committed and very patient. I enjoyed my week long stay there and would definitely revisit it next year.

So it’s my last night here and what can I say….the food was excellent and the people really friendly. The whole camp has a really chilled vibe. I was kitesurfing and the instructors were really skilled, patient and helped me make good progress. I hope to come back next year.

I brought my two sons (10 & 12) to try surfing for a day. The instructors were not only excellent at their craft, they were also some of the nicest people we met on our vacation.
My kids were thrilled. They both quickly caught waves due to the excellent instruction. Despite being the old man in the group, and a bit over weight, I managed to catch a couple myself. The only injuries we sustained were sore face muscles from smiling ear to ear.

What a nice place! The team is really cool and welcoming, for some minor inconvinencies I was running late and even though they had to wait for me they were really understandable, sorry once again for waiting for me!!. Something that surprised me really much is that they look everyday where would be the best place to surf and take us on a ride to that specific spot, even long rides! So for me the price included much more than I expected. The instructor was really aproachable and took good care for each of us, they even divide you in groups depending on your level. I just had a 1 lesson day but they (and the sport) convinced me to come back specifically for a full week experience, they even offer a camp to sleep, hang out, just enjoy your day (they even have a pool)! Such easygoing and loving people. 10/10

Fantastic place, amazing people, beautiful location, most wonderful time! A big thank you to surfing instructors (Emil, Mateo, Andrea and Angel) those guys teach so well and you can ride the waves in no time!

I have had an amazing week with my friends in the camp. It was my first time surfing. The instructors (Angel, Emil and Andras) were awesome. Relax dudes that teach you everything about surfing and how to catch the waves in a fun way. Also, the food in the camp is the best i had in a long time. Wished we stayed longer than a week....

Everything was perfect, we had a great week and so much fun! The surfing lessons and spots were amazing, we learned a lot. The camp is very clean, the atmosphere is great and food super fresh and delicious!

I and my girlfriend stayed at the camp for one week and it was an amazing experience! The food at the camp is delicious and the surf course is well organized in small groups so everyone is involved during the lessons and gets a lot of feedback.

Have attended two days surfing courses with Angel, who is a really nice teacher with patience. During the courses he held the board for us in order to find the suitable wave for us. The surfing spot was also nice for beginners. Nice service and fun experience. Would definitely come back in the future!

I booked 4 days of surfing class but could never attend.
The reason is that they only confirm the time and place of the meet-up the night before (apparently can be anything between 8-11 o'clock depending on spot conditions).
It ended up being 8 in the morning at the location of the camp here on google maps which is in some residential are outside lagos. You basically need a taxi to get there.
This is extremely inconvenient if you are joining as a day guest and not as part of the camp.
I can not speak about the quality of the instructors or equipment, but communications was sub-par and it is apparent they do not care for day guests and want you to join the camp.
I ended up fortfiting the 20€ deposit and went with another surfschool which handled things much better.

Great experience!
First, we were in contact with Irina for booking our activity who tried to make it as smooth as possible.
Then, we went windsurfing with Adam Erdelyi. Not only was he a great instructor but he also took into account our needs and situation while trying to push us a bit forward.
Can't wait to go back!

I've been to this place three times and I can't wait for the next trips. The camp is wonderfully organized. The office (thanks to Celina) helpful, cordial and competent. The surf instructors (Mateo, Angel, Anders - thanks) and kie instructors (Marcin and the rest of the team) are a huge plus of the place - competent, nice and always sharing their passion with joy and angelic patience. It is also necessary to mention the food, which is the best I have ever eaten, including five-star hotels! Seriously! The cook Boris is a miracle worker who makes Indian dishes as well as Italian ones, meaty and vegan - tasing delicious in all cases. The food is different every day, but always outstanding - this is the most appropriate word. In addition, it is adapted to the needs of vegetarians, vegans, people avoiding gluten and lactose. Great applause!

In these days, the wind did not always do its jobs and therefore could not always kitesurf. Fortunetaly the team would arrange other activities. I was able to also "learn" windsurf and surf! Which was a great experience since all teachers are super kind. The view at the surf spot I went is really worth a visit.
Next to that the hostel felt very luxury. Over the days I slept in a spacious and clean dorm with other fun solo travelers. I guess a great environment attracts great people since after a week the other travelers felt like old friends. Sometimes I did feel that the showers were somewhat cold, but I guess the Wim Hof Method of cold showers should make you happier over the days. Finishing off with the food, every morning I had a great various breakfast and an extremely tasty dinner (pokebowls, hot pot and more).
I want to thank the team for the good vibes and calming my crazy mom.
Will be coming back for sure!

This was my first surf camp. I am very pleased with the surf instructors. I learned a lot and I will definitely want to continue my surfing adventure. Moreover delicious and healthy food prepared by the best chefs Boris and Dominik! Thank you! Amazing experience!

I spent an amazing week at the AWS camp. The food was delicious, the camp is very comfy and the windsurf instructors Adam and Marcin did a great job and were always motivated to help us improve. I definitely recommend to everyone who likes watersports and wants to spend a good time with nice people in a relaxed atmosphere. One week was way too short for me 😉 Thank you!!!

So. signed up for 2 days of SUP Wave - fab experience. Marcin is an amazing instructor, just the best in my experience - full of really useful teaching without it seeming like teaching! The front office are super efficient and delightful. The camp is just perfect - the whole setup is so organised and the vibe is lovely. I'm lucky enough to live here and can see myself returning time and again to learn stuff with this amazing crew. Can't wait for the next time :)

We had a real great time at the camp. Right from the beginning we felt very welcome and everyone from the staff were friendly and helpful all the time so the atmosphere around the camp was just great.
The bungalow we had was nice and cozy with enough space and our own kitchen. Also i really liked the chilling area in the camphouse, comfortably furnished and perfect to hang out.
The teachers for the activities were really professional and supporting so even it didn't really work out for me with kiting i still had a lot of fun and trying other things like windsurfing and SUP was a great experience too.
I loved the feeling of a community we had at the camp alongside the people we met during our stay. Walking out the bungalow in the morning felt always really nice because of it, you just knew you gonna meet this guys sitting there and you are going to spend a great day together. With this group it was special and i never experienced it like that before, so special thanks to them!

I loved my time in the camp. I came by myself and never felt lonely. The food, honestly, was sooo soo good, freshly cooked and prepared each day. The only thing in the camp I struggled with were the mattresses…too hard … sorry guys…
I have been here to learn kiting and thanks to the instructors Andy, Leo and Lesmona I progressed faster than expected and felt all the time well looked after.

I looked for a windsurfing center to rent equipment, after searching on google I found this company I followed the google maps directions and was not going in the direction of the beach but to a hill located 3 km from the beach when I arrived there I realized something was wrong and the place could not be a windsurfing center, so I went to the reception and asked if the windsurfing center was there, I was sympathetically attended but they said I would have to wait about 2 to 3 hours for the car with the boards going to the beach, the wind was very good and I wanted to rent soon luckily I found a center in Meia Praia 200 meters from the sea where I practiced 7 days in a good spot for windsurfing. it is definitely not a good place for a windsurfing center.

I went to the Algarve Watersport last summer. I was in the single room next to the reception. I had only a key to open the lobby (share with others persons). To enter in my room it was just a patio door so I closed the curtains and the door (it was the only thing i could do).
When I was robbed, everyone thought I just misplaced my bag. Then, when another guy noticed some of his stuffs were missing too, they realized it was a robbery. The only thing they can say to you in this case is "We don't understand, this has never happened", wish isn't true because I heard others stories of this kind (a girl loosing her phone in the reception, etc.).
At the beginning, they didn't really want to me to report it to the police because they didn't want them to come in the camp. But I sill wanted to report it (especially for the insurance) and they asked me to wait Becca (who was abroad). At the end of the stay, they refund only 190 euros from the 740 euros I paid for one week. I have done only 2 classes to the 5 in total. On their website, they sell 3 days of windsurf classes for 260 euros not 190 euros.
It was the worse holidays of my life so I really don't suggest you to go there.

We had a great time with this school. We didn't sleep at the camp, just took lessons - windsurfing, surfing and a SUP tour. Everybody was super friendly, communication was extremely easy, groups were small and there was a great vibe overall. I will remember those first experiences on the board for a long time! Thank you :)

Experience at AWS surf camp has been amazing, you get professional and carefully planned surf and Kitesurf courses at great prices. In addition, not only the transport and other facilities are good, but also the social events / environment that they provide will leave travellers be you individual / in a group great memories. Highly recommended!

I was quite excited to try out this school given all the nice reviews, but unfortunately I did not have a good experience. I had a Windsurfing group "class". I had to quote class because in total I think I had about 5 minutes of actual class and the rest I was left to be on my own. The first hour the instructor Nico simply said "Go and feel the water". We kept going in this classical Windsurf line (one direction and back in the same one). Typically the teacher will give you feedback once you're back to where you started, but Nico simply went to Windsurf on his own. After this one hour I got some nice footwork feedback for a couple of minutes from Nico. This is exactly the kind of feedback I had expected but a lot more often. All the rest of the advice I got I had to directly ask Nico for it otherwise I would get nothing.
The equipment also keeps getting smashed around in the Van while being driven there, so it's also not a big surprise that it's not in great condition. The driver was also not wearing a mask (yes, he did eat an apple during the drive, but the rest of the drive without eating was still done without one).
Seems like this is a great Kitesurfing school but a below average Windsurfing school, unfortunately.

This summer I joined a few Kite Surfing classes with AWS. Since my friends joined another school I can tell this school is by far the best option. Why?
- We had an excellent teacher Jakob: patient, enthusiastic, very clear and helpful
- Good knowledge about the weather. We always arrived right when the wind was coming. My friends at another school often came at wrong times.
- They had a boat to pick me up if I wasn't able to return
- They had multiples kites and we often switched when the wind changed

Gem in the heart of Lagos! 2 friends and I went to AWS not knowing what to expect, not only we had the best time but we met the incredible and welcoming crew, we learned how to kitesurf with the great Adam, made a bunch of friends... I really recommend AWS if you are looking to be part of laid back and professional community for a few days. Would go back asap.

I booked 2 day windsurf lesson with this school. The equipment and the spot were good. However, the staff was unmotivated and the price is too high for what kind of service you get for that. The first hour of the lesson you are building the equipment yourself instead of spending this time windsurfing. I had a problem as i got into the strong current and teacher did not come to help me, so i had to self-rescue myself and walk back to the spot - for that i do not need to book a lesson!
