BSR Cable Park & Surf Resort
BSR je pro jezdce unikátní místo. Hostili národní mistrovství WWA. Jednou z věcí, díky nimž je BSR tak výjimečný, je jejich jedinečné dvouúrovňové jezero. Velký vlek je 6 sloupový systém umístěný na krásném jezeře o rozloze 12 akrů s obrovským množstvím nejmodernějších railů, kickerů, boxů a dalších překážek. This place is awesome!! Very family friendly, great staff, very nice facility. We live in Northwest Arkansas, and the... 7.5 hour trip was well worth it. I surfed as a teen and 20-something, but school, work, family have kept me living far from the ocean over the past 10+ years. Have maybe had a dozen sessions in that time. Rented a board (great selection) got 2 sessions in. Was so much fun. Can't wait to head back!We also ran into pros: Sage Erickson (surf) and Daniel Norris (baseball). They were very nice. Awesome time! I went surfing and had a few expert sessions. The staff is amazing and friendly. The water/pool staff... were extremely helpful with tips on how to ride the wave.We stayed on site and the rooms were a great size and the bedding was very clean and comfortable. The AC was huge as it was around 100 outside.There are a few food options on site but we could only go to the burger stand near the slides. The smash burgers were awesome!celá recenze

My favorite view😍... I work in housekeeping here... the atmosphere is amazing and the people are great! I love watching... the action at the slides although it's not something I would try,I've seen some pretty cool stunts coming off the slides... the reputation of this place wasn't the best a few years ago. But the new owners have really strived to make this spot a place to bring the family and have a awesome time!celá recenze

We only did the slides and lazy river, so that is what I can give a review on. The slides were fun but hurts if you... don't land the right way. I'm 45 and did it and now have a big bruise on my leg. Lol The lazy river was long and relaxing. There was cable line surfing which looked fun but didn't book. You need to book surfing far in advance from what we were told. Our cabin we stayed in there was really nice. It was quite and a short walk to activities. One drawback was they closed everything but the beach surfing at 6. We had two teenage boys along that got bored fast. Just not enough to do there.celá recenze

I was excited to go here and learn to surf in a safe environment, however I choose not to try it because a surf session... cannot be guaranteed. I don't understand how you must pay in full for something that is not guaranteed and then not give a refund if there is no space available. Be aware or you could wind up spending hundreds on nothing.celá recenze

Surfed 4 sessions over 3 days. Awesome staff.They were very helpful and laid back. They made it feel welcoming and... really gave great advice on how to catch and surf the wave.This is a top notch place. I definitely recommend you visit.celá recenze

I used to like the expert session a lot. For a man-made wave, it's amazing. There were some management issues for sure... - they sold me a package that was supposed to include early booking notifications, and they failed to deliver them most of the time. But I could look past all that for the wave!But now.. they're charging $129 for a 1-hour expert session?? That's outrageous. And yes, this price hike happened before all the inflation going on. It's literally double the price of similar wave pools in other countries (like the one in Bristol England) - why? Not worth it anymore. They should run more sessions (like at night) if they want to make more money, not hike the price as high as they possibly can.celá recenze

Definitely not a kid friendly environment. Took my family here yesterday and totally regret it, I should've stayed in... Belton and paid for an actual water park. Lazy River looks dirty not clear at all and they let people smoke cigarettes and the two we saw used the river as a ashtray. We asked one of the workers but nothing he can do and told us to point them out but wouldn't be safe because everyone is drinking beer or liquor there. We were pleasantly surprised by this fun spot! The price had us a little concerned it would feel more like a water park... but the vibe is VERY chill. If you plan on just going to the slides and lazy river you can bring your own everything: chairs, alcoholic drinks, grills, all of it. (Note: you cannot take alcoholic drinks into the swim/surf area).They supply basic tubes and life jackets. They even have some picnic tables if you get there early and plenty of chairs in the surf/pool area. Our favorite spot had to be the swim up bar though. Perfect view of the surf, decent drinks, lots of sun. We loved it! We would definitely come back!A few down sides: First there are very few signs, directions, or interactions with staff for first timers. It definitely gives off the vibe that this has been a local gem that is just now really boosting their online presence. We managed to figure it out in the end though. Second the pools/lakes were decently clean but the lazy river was murky. I'm going to chalk this up to run off which is really unavoidable given the property's location. They do have a filtration/sanitation system for the lazy river so it's nothing horrible. But I would suggest keeping your head above water in the lazy river. Third there is plenty of drinking and vaping/smoking. It didn't bother us at all but if you are someone that chooses not to be around those things this park might not be the place for you. Lastly there is no where to lock up any of your stuff. So prepare to bring phone/wallet into the lazy river or put some serious trust your neighbors.TL;DR If you are looking for a very relaxed vibe this is a great place for water sports or just fun in the sun! Bring your own stuff and you could stay all day. I definitely recommend it.celá recenze

My family and I have been going to BSR Cable Park for years now called Waco surf. Apparently the new owners and... management care more about having a cornered Market and Force Waco residents to pay an arm and a leg to get into. We were considering going this Sunday but not any longer. This new ownership is a negative for everyone in the Waco area. This establishment very obviously cares nothing about the community and is very focused on filling their pockets. $40 for the slides and The Lazy River now! That is absurd and I suggest everyone go to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor because it has way more to offer and it's only $25... for the entire park! And based on the pictures that I'm seeing and all the other previous comments I can see there's a lot more issues to this park now then there was before not even mentioning the prices that have skyrocketed. The expert wave is a ton of fun and the staff is really helpful and nice. Cannot wait to return as the water gets... warmer. Surfed without a wetsuit the afternoon of April 26 and the water was 75. Pretty good!!celá recenze

They do not answer calls/text or emails in a timely fashion when related to weather cancellations. So basically if you... have a session booked, and there is weather in the area you can't figure out if they are running unless you drive (in my case) 3 hours each way. And there are no refunds. They need to fix that before I book in advance again. Love the spot, hate losing money and feeling my time is disrespected.celá recenze

Sadly my last experience wasn't that great. I guess they were closing down for the season and wanted to get everyone... out. They were taking the floats for the lazy river starting around noon when they opened. It was weird. They also were running us out of the park right away at 6. Usually they aren't in a rush to get us out of there. I was disappointed. Also they advertised that the lazy river and royal flush slides would be open until Oct 3 and i planned a trip for my while family (my kids and their kids) based on that and then they closed the slides before we got there. It's a great place but not at the end of the season😞celá recenze

Hate to give a lower review but our last visit here was a total bust. I have been to BSR several times and have always... had a blast. It’s been a few years since I’ve been so I was stoked to go back and see all the new improvements and upgrades they’ve done! We went in late September about a week before they closed for the season. I booked a hotel room and the surf resort and spoke with someone about the rules and what not. We drove 3 hours to get there (also brought family who is stationed overseas) and when we get there we learn that the hours posted online are not accurate. We arrived at 11am and nothing would be open for us to use until 3pm and then it would close again at 6pm. Anyone whos been there knows that you can’t do much in 3 hours. Also the slides were closed for the season a week early. That’s a HUGE bummer. I feel like we should have been notified before cancellation deadline that the main attraction was closed early.The only reason I didn’t give a lower rating was because I know this place can be fun. But it definitely gave off a weird vibe and none of the workers were helpful except for a man in upper management. He was nice and understanding and gave us a refund for the $300 hotel room without question and we really appreciate him.My biggest advice would be to call often leading up to your reservation to make sure it’ll be open and to double check the hours of operation. Hate to say it but I don’t think we will be back, just not as cool as it used to be.celá recenze

Website has conflicting hours of the establishment. One section says 12-6, the other sections state 11-7. None of the... buildings are properly marked to escort new customers to the right spot. We arrived at 1 because the website states that the lazy river and slide open at 11 or 12, but the employee tells us that it opens at 3?????? So we plan to get back at 4 which will give us 3 hours til closing, but we get there a little late at 5:30. We first go to the lodge, and the front desk asks us if we’re here to surf and we tell them we’re going to the lazy river/slide, and she directs us to the correct building, which was a complete waste of our time because we get to the correct building and the girl tells us the lazy river and slide close at 6 and there’s new hours after labor day. Why didn’t the first girl inform us of that and save us a walk to the other building??? Why is the website showing 2 different times for the park hours, and they’re BOTH incorrect? Was visiting Texas and was excited to experience the park but the lack of training of employees and mismanagement of the park’s website has resulted in this rating. Definitely don’t ever plan to go again because I can’t trust the site nor any of the employees at the park.celá recenze

This was our first time coming here and we paid online before arriving. We paid 122.90 and as we got our bands and... walked out we were told the park was closing due to a storm. Unbelievable! Not so much of a drop of rain. They refunded us on a gift card for 116.36, but we paid 122.90 and drove from College Station! I understand weather conditions, but why check me in and take our money and refunded on a gift card for their park less then what we paid! We won’t be back that’s for sure. Great place to go unwind, had wave pool access, slide and beach access. We also had a cabana right next to the wave... pool and pretty much centrally located to the park. We had ages 14 to 58, all had a good time. Cabana was very clean and perfect for those wanting to get out of the sun for awile.Slide was great to watch people sliding down it. Great day!celá recenze

I went to the park to take time out and float in the lazy river, not sure what to expect: I am beyond impressed by the... staff, the activities and the resort offerings which they seem to be expanding/renovating to make even more impressive. I will definitely go back and recommend BSR cable park to my friends and family. Definitely check them out!celá recenze

My husband had fun surfing but that was about it. The lazy river was gross. Water was gross and the sides are covered... in spiders. My Apple Watch popped off on the water slide. We could have easily dove down to get it but they wouldn’t let us. They said they go down and retrieve stuff every night… we went on a Friday and they didn’t retrieve it until Sunday night. So my watch broke. Thanks a lot BSR. This place is run by a bunch of kids that don’t really care about what they’re doing and frankly look like they’re high. The lifeguard on duty at the surf pool was playing catch with a football instead of watching the pool. When asked to do his job he laughed and continued playing. I would never bring my kids and probably never go back myself.celá recenze

Do your research before coming here, many people have died in this waterpark, with one person in particular that died... from a brain-eating pathogen that was found in the cable park. This place is absolute trash. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Literally came back home itching so bad... after getting in the water. Would definitely not recommend going at all. My whole family has this type of rash all over the body. I’m pretty sure it was something in the water because it has a funny smell. The water does not look anything like the pictures. Wow!! What an amazing place! I'm surprised not anyone has gotten seriously injured or killed here but what an... experience. If you love extreme activities like wakeboarding, surfing, or gathering up the nerve to go down that insane slide this place is for you. It's an unforgettable experience with great staff, good food(really surprised at how good the burger was) and the very best people watching you can ever get then this place is for you. Great spot for gatherings!Tips = Bring your own inflatable or use their complimentary tubes. Bring your own food or... purchase burgers from the surf shack. Bring your own refreshing beverage and toss in extras for friends! Arrive early for some shaded picnic areas with a great view of the slides/Royal Flush. Your littles will appreciate the addition of some sand toys for the surf/wave beach.There were over 20 of us meeting there for fun in the sun - all of our 1st trips to BSR... 5 stars from everyone.Side note. Be prepared for 54minute round trip on the lazy river. It’s a slow steady flow that is relaxing - not taxing.celá recenze

Literally have been going here every other weekend.. And it's great. The admission was $35 at the beginning of summer,... and understandably it could increase peak season, but within one week the admission is up to $50. Went on Saturday and took the cooler, as usual. Was about to get into the river only to rudely be informed that we had to pay for a cooler float ON TOP of the admission price. So we had to walk back to the check in shack, and purchase a $10 cooler band. They claim that the higher rate is to keep numbers down, but it was literally PACKED EVERYWHERE!!!!celá recenze

Had a great time at BSR Cable Park, Chilled in the lazy river for a few hours, met some really great people, the staff... was extremely helpful and helped point us in the right direction when it came to parking, or directions to specific place in general. Checking in was smooth and easy, fun and professional and welcoming! Short and sweet but helpful they did their best to keep the line moving and avoiding a stand still line. They do stop you before going into river and pool area to check coolers for glass, which they made easy. Overall we had a blast will definitely be planning another trip from Dallas there again!celá recenze
